Slendrina The Backrooms
A downloadable game for Windows
In 2004, a mysterious file appeared on an anonymous network under the name backrooms_game2004.exe. Its size was negligible, but upon launching, computers would overheat, hard drives would emit strange noises, and the screen would be flooded with a monotonous yellow glow. The game had no menu, settings, or instructions — it simply began.
You found yourself in endless corridors, hearing only the hum of fluorescent lights and your own breathing. Within minutes, faint rustling turned into footsteps that grew closer, even if you stood still. Slendrina appeared suddenly: not as a character model, but as a flicker, a gaze from a corner that felt almost physically real.
Legends claim that the file was removed from the server within hours of its appearance, but a few managed to download it. Those who launched the game reported inexplicable phenomena: strange noises in their homes, the sensation of being watched, and later, photographs of yellow corridors and blurred figures appearing on their devices, even after deleting the file. The most chilling were messages on some of the photos reading: "You won’t escape."
It is believed that the original 2004 file has vanished, and all modern versions are mere copies, distorted over time. Yet even these replicas carry a disturbing danger.
Warning:
- Never play in the dark.
- Never leave the game running overnight.
- And most importantly: if you hear footsteps behind you, do not turn around.
Slendrina is waiting for you.
